OECD Convenes Conference on Competitive Cities and Climate Change

The international conference on Competitive Cities and Climate Change 3 October 2008: The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is co-organizing with the province and the city of Milan, a Conference on Cities and Climate Change, which is scheduled to convene from 9-10 October 2008, in Milan, Italy.

The Conference will address the environmental dimension of city competitiveness and will focus on the relationships between urbanization and climate change. The event will bring together mayors and ministers to discuss ways to promote environmentally-sound transport, energy, waste and water services, while retaining economic competitiveness.
