IEA Releases Brochure on Wind Energy

December 2008: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has released a brochure entitled “Renewable Energy Essentials: Wind.” This series of publications provides key facts relating to major aspects of each renewable energy technology.

This first edition, on wind energy, provides an overview of the status of wind energy technology and markets and evaluates its environmental impacts and costs, highlighting that carbon dioxide emissions from wind energy are small. [The Brochure]
